We adapt the old nomadic lifestyle of the aborigines and
wander with them along their spiritual river, the Fitzroy. This river
flows through the hearts of these people and as she rises and falls and the
billabongs form, they gather and harvest an enormous variety of bushtucker.
Barramundi stuffed with local herbs wrapped in paperbark is one of their
delights. You can help them catch Blue Cherubin, a big freshwater crayfish
that is roasted on the coals and eaten when it turns pink, or see them mix
Crocodile eggs with wattle flour to make delicious crocodile pancakes.
Around the campfire we can ask questions about aboriginal culture and
listen to stories from the Dreamtime before we crawl in our
comfortable bushmen's swags for a dream in nature under an open sky.
Join
this unique adventure where the comfort of a fully equipped camel
caravan is combined with the knowledge of the Aborigines, the traditional
owners who have walked this land for thousands of years.
